Enchanting elephants

semi-overcast

Started off our 2 day tour today with Bangkok Day Tours at the floating markets where we boarded a boat and explored the canals with market stalls on the banks and little old ladies paddling their own boats laden with their wares. Some boats sold complete meals cooked on their boats.
The best was yet to come however, with a visit to an elephant camp. All three of us bathed with the elephants. We rode them into the water, slid down their trunks, were splashed and sprayed on, held on their trunks and dunked and thrown into the River Kwai. A magical day - one of the best animal encounters ever!
