'Wat' a day

Sunrise, shopping & spinning wheels

sunny

Early start today to view sunrise over Angkor Wat - and the throngs of tourists were out, cameras in hand all waiting for that magical moment when the sun rose behind the temple.
'A' decided to visit Wat Bo on his own, negotiating a tuk tuk ride and getting some great photos of the Buddhist funeral markers.
Late morning, the Wheary Travellers did the souvenir shopping at the 'Old Market' - after our Egypt experience of being hassled at Khan el Khali bazaar we entered the Old Market with trepidation. It was a surprisingly hassle-free experience. Another great lunch followed with more chicken 'amok'. The whole family were 'templed out' today and decided a change of itinerary was required. M and T went to a local ceramics workshop and had a go at throwing some clay on the pottery wheel. We didn't do a bad job (only with the help of some more experienced hands of course).
