It is tough being a statue!

It is tough being a statue!

As expected arrived in Edinburgh under grey skies but fortunately no rain. The sandstone buildings in Edinburgh are stained with a black soot-like substance. The buildings actually look like they are bleeding black. In conjunction with the dark skies it gives Edinburgh a real grunge type look but it actually adds to the beauty of the city.

Just wandered around the old town today. Enjoyed walking the Royal Mile. Almost every shop had tartan for sale. Don't think I would look good in a kilt so will leave them on the hangars. This evening I went up to a lookout for some twilight shots. The wind was blowing a real cold wind so finally the beanie and gloved made an appearance. The wind was actually shaking the tripod making photography difficult. It took many attempts to get the photo above. The only thing shaking more than the tripod was me. Damn it was cold!
