Felt like we were on the “Amazing Race” today as we checked out Pompeii’s ruins with a dodgy map and not many clues in record time to make the bus up to Vesuvius for the tough climb to the crater. T was thrilled to see some steam coming out, although she was very hesitant about visiting a volcano. Returned to Pompeii in the nick of time to catch the train back to Naples with only just enough time to grab a ticket and board the fast train to Rome. Only managed this because A kept the door open on the train from Pompeii to enable the struggling wildebeest (M) to run the length of the platform and board the train.
