Coloured Houses galore!

Colourful Burano, Veneto, Italy

Colourful Burano, Veneto, Italy

Took a boat trip out to the island of Burano where all of the residents paint their houses different colours as you can see by the photos. A really charming place – I think we’ve found somewhere where Bill (Adrian’s Dad) could easily live. Everyone sits around having their morning cuppa and then board their boats (also coloured) to go fishing! A very idealic lifestyle – lots of older retirees. It’s a town where biscuits and lace clothing are a speciality.
Thanks to Tanami’s blue chocolate, we just made the train to Florence. While we thought the board said the train was 50 minutes late, it was only due to Adrian walking to the bin to discard of the chocolate wrapper and noticing the train had arrived on a particular platform! Lesson learned – never trust your own interpretation of a foreign language!
