Zermatt & the Matterhorn

(and yes, M got a touch of altitude sickness)

Got to Zermatt yesterday and checked out what to do the next day when the weather was best. Travelled on the little train up to the Gorgengrat - a viewing platform where you can almost get 360 degree views of the Swiss Alps with a touch of Italy. Golden moment was when we decided to get off the train half way down at one of the stations and do a brief walk to a little tarn where we had the Matterhorn and surrounds reflecting perfectly in the water. I would say one of the major highlights of the trip. Had fun ascending the Klein Matterhorn on cable cars right up to the Klein Matterhorn at almost 4000m - until M got some altitude sickness (not happy - wish i could work out where that damm exclamation mark key is on this European Quertz keyboard). Was fine by the time we decended 1000m. Wonderful day however.
