The Red Haze

overcast

Spent the day sightseeing around Beijing, or more accurately what we could see through the pollution haze. The pollution the Chinese cities we have visited is really appalling. Take note rAbbot, we need a carbon plan!!

First up was the world's largest public space, Tiannamen Square. Next up was The Forbidden City, impressive for it's sheer size and classic oriental architecture. Lunch was dumplings much to T's pleasure. Afternoon saw us visit the Summer Palace, at least what we could see of it through the haze. A noticed a couple of Chinese lads playing a new game which is a hybrid of grip ball and juggling and it wasn't long before he joined in for a turn or two. Dinner last night was Hot Pot.
